Why This Page Exists
Nootropics and cognitive supplements are an area where claims are easy to make and hard to verify. This page explains, in plain terms, how BestNootropic.org researches, writes, and maintains its content — so you can judge for yourself how much weight to give it.
Who We Are
BestNootropic.org is an independent reference and comparison project. We are not a medical clinic, a supplement manufacturer, or a laboratory, and we do not have an in-house medical team. We are a small editorial project focused on organizing publicly available information about nootropics in one place.
How We Research
- We start from publicly available sources: peer-reviewed studies, government and academic databases (such as PubMed/NCBI), manufacturer-published data sheets, and established reference sites.
- Where we cite a specific claim (a mechanism, a study finding, a side-effect rate), we link directly to the source next to the claim.
- Where the evidence is thin, mixed, or anecdotal, we say so explicitly rather than presenting it as settled fact.
- We do not invent statistics, studies, dates, or expert names. If we could not verify a number, we don’t publish a specific one.
How We Write and Update
- New and updated articles go through a research pass first, using a fact-checklist of value → source → date-checked for every specific claim, before any writing begins.
- Articles are periodically reviewed and updated as new research or product information becomes available; the “last updated” date on each article reflects this.
- We do not label content as reviewed by a licensed physician unless that is explicitly stated on the article itself.
